The medicine is already growing here
Most of what fills my apothecary shelves grows within a few steps of where we'll be standing — in the hedgerow, along the fence line, pushing up through the gravel. On this walk we move slowly and meet the plants where they live: what they are, how to know them with certainty, what they've been used for, and how to bring them home.
No experience needed. Come exactly as you are — curious is the only prerequisite.
This is a chance to experience herbalism — not read about it. We'll learn about the local plants that grow wild right here: how to know one with confidence, the details that separate a friend from a look-alike, and what each has been used for across generations of folk practice. You'll learn when to gather and which part to take, and how to do it so the stand is still thriving when you come back next season.
We'll also try teas and tinctures together, so you taste what these plants actually do — and I'll show you the simplest ways to bring it home: drying, infusing, and the oils and vinegars you can make in your own kitchen this week.
